Mentoring coaches provide advice, not set rules. The individual is given this advice and then set free to do as he or she pleases. A mentoring coach by no means tells a person what to do. Ordering someone to do something a certain way sometimes does nothing more than make them detached and uninterested.

A mentoring coach also utilizes role playing and brainstorming in their teachings. This is yet another way to keep everyone involved and interested in making the business successful.

A mentoring coach is trained to develop the best learning environment for their clients. The relevance of their topics is designed around the goal of the business or individual. Involving information that is of no relevance to people tends to confuse them and only make matters worse.

As stated before, a mentoring coach provides advice. Unlike a consultant who takes an individual or business through a vigorous training process, a mentoring coach service could be used as little as a few times per year. This contact could consist of an onsite visit or something as simple as a telephone conversation.

Another job of a mentoring coach is to find out what really motivates the individual. This is also a key factor in developing the proper strategy and advice for a particular client.

Mentoring coaches help clients recognize self destructive behaviors as well. These kinds of behaviors are pointed out and discussed. Self destructive behaviors will almost always make a business or individual unsuccessful.

Both companies and individuals can benefit from the use of a mentoring coach. Effective mentoring can open up new ideas and a bright future for anyone.
